I tried to write this recap last night and didn’t. I tried to write it this morning and didn’t. Sometimes with procedurals like Lie to Me, there isn’t a whole lot to say about specific episodes. “Teacher and Pupils” is one of those episodes.

The case was fine. Great to see Theo Rossi of Sons of Anarchy as the cop. Dead kids make me sad.

But for the most part, this episode was worth watching because of Melissa George’s character sticking around, first in a client capacity and then as an investor. She and Tim Roth have great chemistry, it’s cool to have some little bits of serialization from episode to episode and George’s character throws a little wrench into the Cal-Gillian relationship. Tim Roth seems to be having one hell of a time playing Cal in this latest batch of episodes and though he hasn’t quite reached Hugh Laurie-as-House levels in terms of the more subtle, emotional scenes, his Cal can match Dr. House on the sarcastic asshole front. So that’s nice.

Aside from that, I’ve got nothing. Did you find anything else worth talking about in “Teacher and Pupils?”
